Anxiety and Acupuncture
Anxiety affects over 40 million people in America every year. It can rage from mild anxiety that causes nervousness and fear to severe anxiety that causes debilitating panic attacks. With a high amount of people suffering from anxiety, only 36% of them are receiving some type of treatment for it.
Why do we have anxiety?
Maybe it's genetically linked to people, maybe it's the amount of things on the To-Do List we compile for ourselves every week, maybe it's hormonal. If there's one thing we know for sure about anxiety it's that it comes in all shapes and sizes and it does not discriminate from person to person. The happiest person you know could be suffering from anxiety. As a society, we've become masters at hiding anxiety and stress behind screens and social media updates. There are many medications that can help with anxiety symptoms, but they may come with unwanted side effects that some people prefer not to have.
