About FM Acupuncture

FM Acupuncture is a locally owned, holistic healing clinic, dedicated to providing health care practices that treat each patient as an individual.  We do not define our patients by their diseases, nor do we have a predetermined method of treating each patient. Rather, we look at the entire body and all of the body systems of each patient, and make a diagnosis that treats the person's main complaint, while also treating the underlying cause.  We help each patient feel happier and healthier so they can live their day to day lives to the fullest.

While we know many people live with daily aches and pains, we believe that these are not a necessity of life.  Years of research has shown that acupuncture can help alleviate aches and pains, and give people a better way of life.  At FM Acupuncture, we provide healthcare answers for our patients.  We pride ourselves in our ability to reduce symptoms of pain and imbalance, while bringing patients a positive outlook to their healthcare experience.

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years in China to prevent and treat disease.  Over time, research has been conducted proving the effectiveness of Acupuncture in digestive, mental/emotional, autoimmune disease,  hormonal imbalance, and acute and chronic pain disorders.  There is also evidence to suggest that acupuncture is effective to treat seasonal allergies and the common cold.  There are no limits to how acupuncture can heal a person.  It uses the person own body to jump start the healing process, rather than a person taking medications or waiting for the body to recover on its own.

Traditional Chinese Medicine describes acupuncture as a way to balance the body's energies or Qi.  Today, we can define these traditional terms as anatomical and physiological parts of the body.  It is best to think of Qi as the components in your body that produce energy.  Your body uses energy to function properly, and when the body is not functioning properly, it is because something externally has invaded and needs to be removed, or because something internally is deficient and needs to be replenished.  Our bodies function best when they are balanced.  Research has shown acupuncture restores balance to the body by reducing inflammation, releasing endorphins, and increasing circulation.
